Let's talk about mental health

Mental illness is a disability, not an identity

One in every four people is dealing with mental illness, from kids, to elders suffer but they try to hide it all & pretend that it doesn't exist. They are ashamed to talk the people they care about & let them know about how they feel. The brain it's an organ that needs to be treated like any other, with mental illness we aren't healthy.

The people that love you won't judge you, they will stand by your side every second of your life. All over the world every single person it's having a different type of problem, but we all have problems. It's the way that we deal about them what makes us different. Don't let negative thoughts consume you, talk to a friend, parent, guidance counsellors, health care professional, I will leave some lines & websites down this post for you to seek help if you need or want to know about more & support this organizations that offer help.

A friend may be fearing constantly, listening or seeing things that aren't there, muscle pain for 6 months, lack of energy to do things & maybe concentrating it all in eating, or not eating, lack of sleep, or any other symptom but remember sometimes it's grief or stress & it doesn't mean mental illness.

Famous people have suffer for mental illness don't ever feel ashamed for how you feel, it doesn't define who you are. It hasn't define this great creators & artists, it won't define you. The neighbor across the streets it's suffering it, a friend, a sister, anyone. We can't ignore our cries, let's seek help. If you aren't suffering any don't ignore other cries, let's offer help, let's be by their side.

If you're feeling down in this past two weeks & are concern if you are depressed or anxious I leave you with the mood self-assesment quiz based on tests by GPs you can make it when having up's & down's mood swings that way you understand how you feel. It will be useful if you record your results to compare & see how you feel, if you're having concern about them you should advocate to a GP.
